Best photo editing app by Matt

Personally I used both the paid version of Polarr and Lightroom Desktop. There are things I like about both that the other doesn't have. I use Polarr for my students who can't afford Lightroom and I have found it is a great program with a lot of the options of Lightroom without the cost. Polarr is much better then Lightroom Mobil but lacks a little behind Lightroom Desktop. The exports may not be to the quality of Lightroom but it comes close. It has been great for the educational environment and should be great for people who aren't professional photographers. Students who learn to use Polarr can easily make the switch to Lightroom Desktop. I really like that Polarr is now starting to support Camera RAW and large files. I used a Nikon D810 which has 70Mb NEF files. Polarr does need a little beefier computer. I have tried it on low end computers and it has problems displaying images (come up blank) when I used a higher end computer like my desktop it works fine.

App crashes upon Save by Neil

I purchased the $0.99 version. The configuration and detail adjustment is awesome and Photoshop-graded. But the issues lie in Saving. Every time I choose Save A Copy to choose save directory, the app crashes. STILL waiting for a workable update because it's such a waste that an awesome app would be bogged by that issue.

They actually maintain the app!! by Dontarious

I had a problem with saving the pics and emailed the support division. 2 days later they actually fixed it and now I can save the pics. This app is the best!

Love it, fast and responsive by Mohammed

I tried the Lite version and fell in love with it, the options are amazing, the interface is great and everything is really fast. I highly recommend trying the Lite version, if you like it, then it's worth buying. My only complaint is that some buttons are a little bit small. Update - Sept 2017- Wow, Polarr is clearly listening to the community and they have updated it and now its better than ever. More control, better UI, much faster performance, more filters and even options to add text and much more. This is a must own for any amateur or even pro photographer.

Promising app but flawed by Pradip

Promising app. Glad that I got this on $1 sale and did not waste more money than that. Don't buy until the app is fixed. Here are the problems: (1) The app is sluggish and takes a long time to start, approximately twice longer than Photoshop CS6 on the two high spec machines (Surface Pro 3 with i7 and 8GB RAM and Dell Precision M4800 with i7 and 32 GB RAM). (2) The app is very unstable and always force closes in my Surface Pro 3. In Dell Precision force closure is occasional but the response is sluggish. (3) The slider buttons are claimed to be easier for touch operation in Surface Pro 3. However, the slider is not smooth. In fact, the operation is more smoother in CS6 which is far complicated and non-touch application. Nobody would expect the app to have the functionalities and tools of CS6 but the app is at least expected to be able to complete rudimentary editing and not to force close. The app fails miserably on two high spec computer so it is not a hardware or GPU issue.

Won't open larger photo files by Dennis

I just purchased this app to do some quick editing of photos taken with a Nikon DS3300. The camera shoots large 24 megapixel images, some single photos are as large as 10 mb each. App won't open them, screen remains blank. The Windows photo viewer opens them fine, Picasa opens them fine, but this app can't seem to handle them. Hopefully there will be an update to this app that will resolve this issue. Until then, I have to rate it low.
